35+ High-Quality Stencil Font Showcase for Designers

As its name suggests, real stencil fonts are created using a thin template where the letter or the design have been cut out. The writing is done by applying a pigment, an ink, or even spray paint through the cut-out holes that determine the shape of the letters. The stencil font family does not date back to the 15th and 16th century as most other font families do, but it originate from 1930′s where it was designed for metal typography. Stencil fonts have often been connected with yellow writings on military equipment created using sprayed paint.
